MobileCause is a Los Angeles-based digital fundraising and communications platform serving nonprofit organizations. Led by CEO Sean MacNeill, it provides mobile and online fundraising and communication software with customizable, mobile-friendly solutions including crowdfunding, peer-to-peer fundraising, online giving, event fundraising, advocacy, mobile communication, and full merchant services. Its solutions are used by thousands of nonprofit organizations, including United Way, The Salvation Army, American Heart Association, University of Southern California, and Habitat for Humanity. On 09/01/2017 MobileCause raised $15m in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Level Equity, and Level Equity founder and partner Sarah Sommer joined MobileCause’s board as part of the investment. The company said it will use the capital to accelerate product development for its cloud fundraising platform and to expand sales, customer success, and marketing efforts. The financing is intended to support continued product and go-to-market expansion.
