MobilyTrip is a mobile app and social network for travel journaling that lets users record itineraries and document visits with photos, locations, and comments. The app runs on iOS and Android, is designed to work offline, and synchronizes journals with MobilyTrip’s website for sharing to Facebook, Twitter, or other networks. The company plans product enhancements including support for video, multi-device and multi-user editing of the same journal, and an option to print a hardbound book at the end of a trip. MobilyTrip also intends to expand its partner program so travel sites can add user-generated content and social features. A larger marketing push is planned to grow the community, which already counts 100,000 travellers who have shared 500,000 contextualized photos in more than 90 countries. The six-person startup is based in Paris and was founded by Benoît Le Ny, Alexandre Larribeau and Matthieu Godon. Financially, the company has raised a total of €500k to date.
