Mobot
310 Lexington Avenue Apt 6a, New York, 10016, United States
Overview
Mobot builds an infrastructure-as-a-service platform that uses fleets of physical robots and computer vision to execute automated test cases on real mobile devices. Customers create tests by recording a video of an app flow, then Mobot’s robots perform taps, swipes, rotations, Bluetooth interactions, push notifications and other physical actions across a library of more than 200 devices. The company records results and offers side-by-side reports and integrations with dev tools like Jira via a self-service analytics tool. Mobot says it has run thousands of test cycles and collected millions of screenshots since founding in early 2018, and counts early adopters such as Citizen, Mapbox, Branch, Radar and Persona among roughly 45 customers. The product is positioned to replace manual QA and to complement emulator-based testing rather than directly compete with it. In the next few years Mobot plans to use its data to deliver product insights and exploratory testing features and to build a testing framework for AR headsets, smartwatches and future devices like smart contact lenses. The company intends to expand sales, marketing and engineering headcount, increasing employees from 42 to about 50 by year-end and will use the latest funding to support that growth.
