Moda in Pelle is a Leeds-based designer and retailer of women's footwear. Led by newly appointed CEO David Inglis, the company operates nearly 60 stores and concessions across the UK. It received a £3.5m growth capital minority investment from Business Growth Fund and secured an increased working capital facility from Lloyds Bank. Stephen and Claire Buck will remain majority shareholders following the investment. BGF's investment director Richard Taylor will join the board as a non-executive director and Judith Pilkington has been appointed non-executive chairman through BGF’s talent network. The company said it will use the funds to accelerate store roll-out in the UK and internationally, enhance the in-store customer experience, and further develop its website and e-commerce channels.
