ModernLoop builds a recruiting operations platform that automates repetitive technical-hiring tasks, schedules and balances interviewer workloads, and trains interviewers with a shadowing experience. The platform facilitates communication and coordination via Slack so hiring teams and candidates have the necessary information for interviews. Lydia Han and Christopher Triolo founded the company in December 2020, and ModernLoop participated in Y Combinator’s Winter 2021 cohort. The company has paying customers including Benchling, Chainalysis, Ramp, Primer.ai and VSCO; Chainalysis grew from about 200 to over 300 employees after starting with ModernLoop in March. ModernLoop announced a $3.3 million funding round led by Accel, with participation from Webb Investment Network, some of Han’s former leaders at Brex and a Zoom product lead. The new funding will be used to hire engineers and expand the customer base as the company scales its remote-interviewing capabilities.
