Modmo Technologies designs and manufactures high-tech electric bicycles. Led by Jack O’Sullivan, who relocated to Vietnam in 2019 to work on product development, the company launched its electric bicycle business in 2020. Modmo is delivering to eight European countries and plans to expand to North America with its first dealership in Vancouver, BC, in March. It operates a development and engineering team in Vietnam with 35 engineers today and expects headcount to exceed 100 this year. Financially, the company closed an €8.7M seed funding round. The €8.7M total includes a €5M investment from Ballymore Group CEO Sean Mulryan, plus €2.7M raised in September and €1M in March from several angel investors.
