Founded in 2018 by Shreeram Ravichandran and P. Gobinath, Chennai-based Modulus Housing manufactures modular buildings using a factory-made construction model and a cloud manufacturing network of partner factories. Its proprietary product suite enables rapid production of structures such as hospitals, cold-storage units, schools, site offices and other distributed infrastructure. The company says it is already profitable, recording cumulative revenue exceeding Rs 200 crore and growing operating revenue 38 % year-over-year to Rs 54 crore in FY24. To date, Modulus has delivered more than 1,500 buildings across 21 Indian states and parts of Africa. Future plans include expanding its market presence across India and selected global regions, advancing R&D on a next-generation concrete modular system and scaling its green concrete technology. The firm also intends to broaden its cloud manufacturing network to support these initiatives.
