Modulus Therapeutics

2101 N 34th St Ste 195, Seattle, WASHINGTON, 98103, United States

Overview

Modulus Therapeutics builds an AI-powered Convergent Design™ platform that combines gene editing, machine learning, multi-omics, and high-throughput in vivo screening to systematically design next-generation immune cell therapies. The company is initially focused on engineering natural killer (NK) cells to treat metastatic breast cancer and other solid tumors. Its platform enables high-throughput discovery and machine-learning interpretation of genetic interactions to optimize multiple therapeutic attributes simultaneously, including efficacy, manufacturability, and storage. Modulus was founded in 2020 by Max Darnell, Ph.D., and Bryce Daines, Ph.D., and is based in Seattle. The company plans to use its platform both to enable partners and to build an internal pipeline of therapeutics for patient populations not currently served by existing treatments. Financially, Modulus recently completed an oversubscribed $3.5 million Seed round to expand development of the Convergent Design™ platform.
