The product aims to position talent as a core part of a hotel’s operational "engine," distinguishing Mogul from marketplace competitors like Hosco by emphasizing data-driven candidate identification. Mogul plans to hire talent identified by its tool for a new Mogul hotel brand, operate distressed properties in 10 U.S. cities on owners' behalf, and is testing a booking engine powered in part by DerbySoft. The company raised $20 million in a seed round led by L37 to help partnerships amid the coronavirus pandemic.
