Monami Tech is a Dubai-headquartered fintech that helps conventional financial services firms digitize operations with products such as customer onboarding platforms, digital wallets, loan origination systems, video conferencing and lending applications. Its flagship lending product, LendMe, enables customers to apply for and complete loan processes via an app and was named Fintech Innovation of the Year 2018 by Seamless Middle East. The company has been in operation for two years and reports revenue growth that management says is moving it closer to profitability. Monami is developing a next-generation scoring engine that combines structured data (Emirates ID, Etihad Credit Bureau) and unstructured data (SMS, social media) to speed lending decisions. It has partnered with Al Hail ORIX Finance PSC for deployment on SAMA Capital’s lending project. Near-term plans include expanding instant lending capabilities, exploring verticals beyond financial services (insurance, healthcare, automotive), hiring across sales, product and UX, and geographic expansion beginning with Saudi Arabia.
