Monarch Bioimplants develops NeuroShield, an FDA-cleared biosynthetic peripheral nerve regeneration implant made from naturally occurring chitosan. The membrane is surgically placed over damaged peripheral nerves to protect, connect, and accelerate healing while being fully absorbed by surrounding tissue. The company has introduced NeuroShield in the Middle East and Africa and has signed distribution agreements in Israel and South Africa. It plans to use newly secured funding to expand distribution to the U.S., Europe, Australia, and China. Monarch secured €20 million from GEM Global Yield LLC SCS under a common-share purchase and a share subscription and drawdown agreement that will provide capital over 36 months and may commence with a potential public offering. Fast Track Ventures is the primary investor and the GEM agreement supports the company’s goal of achieving a public listing and worldwide distribution.
