Money360 is an online marketplace lending platform that matches commercial real estate borrowers with institutional and accredited private investors. The firm originates, underwrites, and services commercial real estate term loans across multifamily, retail, industrial, hospitality, and office property types. Since launching in the fall of 2014, Money360 closed $11.5 million in 2014 and more than $56 million in loans in 2015, totaling over $67 million in closed loans to date. 2015 transactions included deals across California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, and Montana, with individual loan examples such as $16.6M for a Sacramento office and $8.7M for Florida hospitality properties. Money360 completed a $2.5 million Series A capital raise to help build out infrastructure and support national growth. Management said 2016 operations will focus on expanding commercial real estate loan programs, its technology platform, origination capabilities, and back-office personnel to grow its marketplace lending business. Money360 operates an online P2P lending marketplace that directly matches commercial real estate borrowers with institutional and accredited private investors. The company originates, underwrites, coordinates and services all loans offered on its platform. In April 2015 it secured new funding capacity to originate and purchase loans, including a $100 million loan purchase agreement plus $10 million in cash raised through its wholly owned subsidiary M360 Fund I, LLC. Lending opportunities on the platform are available only to accredited investors. Since re-launching in September 2014, Money360 reported rapid growth, including more than $150 million in loan requests in a single month. Management says the additional funding capacity will allow it to keep up with growing borrower demand.
