Moneytech operates a trio of businesses providing working capital finance, automated payments and foreign exchange services to Australian businesses. The group is organised into three divisions: Moneytech Finance (debtor finance, trade finance, lines of credit, equipment finance and term loans), Monoova Payments (an automated payments platform) and Moneytech FX (foreign exchange services). In the 2021 financial year Moneytech Finance originated more than $1.3 billion in loans (up 16% on 2020), Moneytech FX processed over $2.3 billion in transactions and Monoova Payments processed $17 billion in payments (up 700% on the prior year). The company was founded in 2003 by managing director Hugh Evans and is described as one of the country’s oldest fintechs. Moneytech says it is focussed on enabling businesses to succeed by supporting cashflow and domestic and international payments needs.
