Montamo hires and trains people to install and maintain sustainable heat pumps, offering entry-level training and upskilling for those with prior experience. The company places trained workers to install and maintain equipment for other firms. It intends to expand into other clean-energy areas such as solar power as it grows. Montamo is intentional about hiring and upskilling migrant workers to provide career paths and address the clean-tech labor shortage. Co-founders Alexander Boehm and Ole Schaumberg are building a tech stack to support training and enable workers to franchise or operate independently. The startup was founded this November in Berlin and has raised a €2.1 million pre-seed round led by Project A Ventures with participation from several angel investors.
