Moonit Labs is a New York City-based developer of social discovery apps that builds social user experiences across mobile, desktop, Facebook and email. Led by CEO Mason Sexton, the company operates an app laboratory and its flagship app, MEET, is available on iOS and Android. MEET allows users to expand social circles globally by messaging, sharing pictures and exchanging gifts within the app. Moonit Labs recently closed $1.5m in angel funding and said it will use the proceeds to expand its global presence. Backers included unnamed domestic and international private high-net-worth angel investors and seed funds. The company had previously raised over $1m from angels via convertible notes.
