Overview
MoonJapan is an education-focused impact startup headquartered in Tokyo (Toshima-ku) led by CEO 藤田岳. Its core product is MoonShot, a three-month accompaniment-style social entrepreneurship experiential program for junior and senior high schools composed of 12 sessions in which students (in teams of 3–5) build social businesses from 0 to 1. MoonShot engages entrepreneurs and practitioners aged roughly 15–75 as visiting mentors, offers about 50 lecture options, and provides a customizable platform that the company says can cut teacher time spent on the mandated inquiry curriculum by 80–90%. MoonJapan plans to expand its offerings with three additional initiatives: MoonAcademy, a comprehensive support service; MoonImpactCapital, a U-20 impact fund; and MoonCareer, long-term employment support. The company intends to scale its model regionally, targeting expansion to Southeast Asia while continuing domestic deployment. Recently it completed a seed fundraise to support service buildout, municipal partnerships, and hiring to expand operations.
