Moovenda is a Rome, Italy-based food delivery startup founded in 2014 that offers a tech-driven service sourcing orders from over 700 restaurants. The company was co-founded by CEO Simone Ridolfi, COO Filippo Chiricozzi and CTO Simone Terranova; investor Jacopo Paoletti later joined as CMO. Moovenda is currently present in Rome, Viterbo, Naples, Turin and Cagliari after acquiring Delivery Sardinia for €250k. It raised €1m in a recent funding round and intends to use the funds to expand its reach to ten Italian cities within 2018. The service emphasizes a curated restaurant selection and technology-driven delivery operations. Moovenda operates a food delivery service delivering meals from more than 450 restaurants in Rome and Viterbo. Led by CEO Simone Ridolfi, the company was accelerated within Luiss Enlabs and is part of the L Venture Group portfolio. It reported over €1m in turnover in 2016 and says it refined its business model and improved its cost structure that year. Moovenda plans to use the new funds to strengthen its market position across Rome and Viterbo and to launch its service in additional cities, which will be announced in the next days. CMO Jacopo Paoletti stated the company aims to become the leading player in the Italian market in 2017. The company raised €150K in funding, with €75K coming from angel Jacopo Paoletti and participation from existing investor LVenture Group and others. In conjunction with the investment, Paoletti joined Moovenda as Chief Marketing Officer. Moovenda plans to use the funds to continue expanding operations nationally.
