Mother Raw is a Toronto-based vegan dressings brand launched last year that produces 20 varieties of cold-blended, non‑pasteurised dressings free of artificial ingredients. Since last year its sales have surged 247% as the brand expanded into major chains including Whole Foods, Target, and Sprouts. The company manufactures all of its products in-house and will use part of the funding to increase production capacity. CEO Kristi Knowles said most of the capital will be dedicated to innovation, sales programming, and marketing. With the new funding, Mother Raw plans to shift focus toward dips and condiments while continuing its dressings range. The company expects growth next year to surpass this year’s performance.
