MSCHF
395 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn, NY, 11249, United States
Overview
MSCHF produces highly viral stunts and limited-edition products — from “Jesus Shoes” to IRL loot crates and a dog collar that purports to translate barks. Its latest project, Allthestreams.fm, is a free “pirate video” station streaming a random program from Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, HBONow, Prime Video and Showtime. At time of publication more than 100,000 people were watching one of the channels, and MSCHF does not earn money from the stream. The company has monetized prior goods releases like shoes and boxes, but says current projects are intended to build a brand and generate attention rather than immediate revenue. MSCHF develops ideas in regular weekly meetings and drops them like limited-edition streetwear or collectibles, deliberately spending money to create attention. Financially, MSCHF has raised $11.5 million in venture capital led by Laura Chau at Canaan Partners.
