Multiplicom NV develops, produces and sells genetic tests based on innovative molecular diagnostic technologies. Formed in 2010 as a spin-off of the University of Antwerp and VIB, the company is led by CEO Dirk Pollet and is based in Niel, Belgium. Its tests are used to identify increased genetic risk for disease, detect congenital defects early, and help select the most suitable therapies for patients. Multiplicom received CE certification in 2012 for a test that detects genetic defects indicating increased risk of ovarian or breast cancer.
