3912 Portola Dr Suite 9, Santa Cruz, CA, 95062, United States
Overview
Murj offers a cloud-based cardiac device management platform that supports implantable devices from all major manufacturers and all care modalities, including in‑office interrogations and remote transmissions. The platform requires no software installation, can be activated in as little as 24 hours, and combines a patent-pending user interface with intelligent care workflow and actionable insight. Murj’s product is designed to triage large volumes of device-generated data and improve clinic productivity and clinical insight. The company says its solution addresses inefficiencies in legacy device-management systems and the growing burden on clinics from new devices and an aging population. Murj plans to use recent financing proceeds to continue commercial expansion and introduce the platform to a growing customer base. The company is headquartered in Santa Cruz, Calif. Murj provides a secure, web-accessed application that consolidates data from pacemakers, loop recorders, ICDs and other implantable cardiac devices across manufacturers. The platform is HIPAA-compliant and designed to replace paper reports and inadequate device-management tools to improve clinic productivity and patient care. Murj aims to help clinics track patients, capture reimbursements, and reduce paperwork burdens from events like device recalls. The company was founded by Todd Butka, a former Apple product manager and Medtronic field representative, who serves as CEO. Murj plans public exposure of its offering at the Heart Rhythm Scientific Sessions conference in May. The company announced more than $4.5 million in financing to support its growth.
