musx is an iOS music sharing and discovery app that sources YouTube and SoundCloud’s open libraries to surface popular tracks, independent artists and remixes. The app enables users to share music and discover recommendations from friends and curated sources. It also provides tools for artists, venues and bloggers to connect with fans. The company has launched version 2.0 of its app and is developing new features for version 2.1 and beyond. musx raised over €500K in funding and plans to use the proceeds to expand to web and Android platforms. Michael McDonald, a music industry veteran, joined the company’s board.
