Muzicall operates and develops ringback tone services for major European telecommunications providers. Customers include Vodafone, T-Mobile and Orange group companies. The company plans to expand further in Europe and says the new funding will accelerate that expansion. It received an additional €2.1m in venture capital from new investor Ventech four months after closing a €9m second round. Founded in 2004 and based in London, the company is backed by BlueRun Ventures LLC, Thule, ORKOS, Veddis Ventures, GP Bullhound and now Ventech. Management said the investment demonstrates investor faith in the potential of ringback tones. Muzicall provides ringback tone services to mobile operators. The company raised €9m (£8.2m) in its latest funding round to further implement its vision of making ringback tone services available to all European mobile phone users. The funds are intended to support expansion throughout Europe and to demonstrate that the revenue potential seen in Asia and the US can be realised in Europe. CEO Patrick Allainguillaume said the round puts the company in an excellent position to expand across Europe. Muzicall was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in London, UK and Glil Yam, Israel.
