MyBasePay delivers a freelance management system built on the founders’ staffing business ProSource IT, taking on compliance and funding challenges for staffing firms and 1099 freelancers. The platform aims to provide income smoothing, PTO, healthcare benefits and access to credit for freelancers while offloading operational headaches from staffing companies. The team says the software also reduces the time to get freelancers working and paid. The company has just exited stealth and has processed $30M in deals to date. Leadership includes co-founders Cesar Jimenez (CEO) and Jahn Karsybaev (CTO) and CBO Angela Alberty; BMI’s Andrew Sierra is involved as an investor-backed COO.
