The startup recently secured INR 14 crore in funding to support expansion into new cities and the launch of additional courses. Founded in 2016 and based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, MyCaptain reports 201–500 employees and has raised $1.69M to date. The company plans to use the new capital to scale geographically and broaden its course offerings. MyCaptain, owned and operated by Climber Knowledge and Careers Pvt Ltd, runs a cohort-based edtech platform that helps students choose new career options and build practical skills. The platform offers over 30 beginner and advanced courses across content writing, social media management, fashion designing, entrepreneurship and advertising. MyCaptain has added over 150,000 learners and reports an industry-leading NPS of 70 alongside record-high completion rates. Management says it will use the new funds to expand course reach, onboard more users and drive revenue toward a four-fold increase. The company is led by co-founders Mohammed Zeeshan (CEO), Sameer Ramesh and Ruhan Naqash. Executives and investors cited growing demand for new-age internet jobs and gig work as a market tailwind.
