Mycelial provides an open-source platform that lets developers move data within and across distributed applications securely and efficiently without writing the complex communications logic or maintaining infrastructure. The platform supports connections across edge, on-device, and cloud environments and works offline or online. Mycelial’s private beta will launch with the ability to create and manage distributed stateful actors, pass data between actors, add and update custom behavior, and pipe in or extract data from anywhere applications run. Users can connect their database of choice hosted in their own VPC to enable time travel debugging and gain visibility into system state over time. The company is led by Gerred Dillon, Chief Technology Officer. Mycelial will use the newly raised funds to build the team as it launches its private beta.
