MyCrowd offers an in‑app marketplace that lets users identify and hire freelancers with a single click while working in apps like Google Docs and PowerPoint. The platform aggregates freelance talent from partners such as oDesk and freelancer.com and aims to add more connectors, including Evernote. MyCrowd says it currently has an existing base of around 10 million specialists and charges user fees between 2 percent and 15 percent per transaction. The company plans to release an API later in the year so developers can build add‑ons, extensions and connectors leveraging MyCrowd’s aggregated workforce. MyCrowd was co‑founded in 2013 by Matthew Cordasco (CEO) and Kirk Franzen (VP of Engineering). Cordasco previously founded Overstat, which was sold to Tealeaf (and ultimately to IBM for $400 million).
