MyCrypto is an open-source interface that enables users to store, send, and receive digital assets. The platform provides tools to create new wallets and to buy, sell, or exchange virtual currencies. The company recently launched a desktop app to manage and use cryptocurrency without relying on online services and protocols. It is led by CEO Taylor Monahan and is based in Los Angeles, CA. MyCrypto raised $4M in funding to continue expanding its development efforts. Participating investors include Polychain Capital (lead), Boost VC Fund 3, ShapeShift, Mainframe’s Mick Hagen, Chance Du (Coefficient Ventures), Ausum Blockchain Fund, Albert Ni and Lily Liu (4T Global).
