MyPetrolPump builds and operates proprietary refueling trucks that deliver fuel directly to fleet vehicles, addressing theft and adulteration problems common at public pumps. The company began operating out of Bangalore in 2017 and was bootstrapped by founders who pooled $150,000 to build the first two refuelers. It currently runs five refueling vehicles, serves about 2,000 customers including corporate fleets such as Amazon and Zoomcar, and has delivered roughly 5 million liters of fuel. The business expects it will need 20–30 refuelers for its initial rollout but says demand will require hundreds of vehicles. To scale, MyPetrolPump is developing a licensing/franchise strategy to franchise construction of refueling vehicles and regional management. Management also positions the model as fuel-agnostic, saying the last-mile delivery system can transition to hydrogen or electricity if market fuel types change; the company highlights environmental benefits and large carbon-offset estimates.
