MyWeddSpace.pl is an online service that guides couples from the moment they get engaged through to the wedding day by connecting them with a broad catalogue of wedding suppliers. The site monetizes via an online wedding gift list, offering discounts for top international brands, and by linking couples to suppliers. At registration users provide their wedding date and place, allowing MyWeddSpace to build a segmented database of engaged couples and anticipate service needs. The platform targets couples aged 20–35 who have online bank accounts and aims to capture value up to a year before the wedding. The company launched in June and was founded by a group of private investors led by Spanish entrepreneur Alvaro Figar. MyWeddSpace says Poland’s wedding industry is approximately 0.4% of GDP and that the market is seeing a peak in weddings and a trend toward larger, more sophisticated celebrations.
