Bengaluru-based MyWonder has unveiled what it calls the world’s first safe, screen-free personal device for young children, built on a hardware-first, AI-native platform. The gadget delivers conversational AI, adaptive voice games and interactive characters that offer personalized, values-driven engagement while keeping kids away from screens. In beta tests, 60% of users interacted with the device at least three times a week, with a median daily usage of 81 minutes and peak-day engagement exceeding four hours for nearly half of the children. The founders—second-time entrepreneurs Chandramouli K and Venkat Potluri—plan to sell 100,000 units in year one, aiming for roughly USD 4.5 million in revenue. MyWonder wants to capture 3% of India’s USD 1.7 billion edtech hardware market before expanding globally within three years. Early go-to-market initiatives include a pilot with a 7,000-student Bengaluru school network and content partnerships with Hachette India and international licensors. The company is positioned at the intersection of education, play and child safety, targeting a global edtech hardware segment valued at about USD 50 billion and expected to double by 2030.
