Overview

N3TWORK Studios is a developer and publisher of blockchain games made up of more than 60 industry veterans. The studio was formed in January 2022 from the games team of N3TWORK Inc. after Forte’s acquisition of the N3TWORK platform. Its core products are two upcoming web3 titles: Legendary: Heroes Unchained, a crypto-native play-and-earn RPG based on the Legendary: Game of Heroes IP, and Triumph, a real-time multiplayer RPG that combines free-to-play and web3 economics. N3TWORK Studios is partnering with Forte to power its games and in-game economies. The team emphasizes applying free-to-play expertise to scale crypto gaming to mass mobile audiences. Financially, the company closed a $46 million Series A to fund development and launch of its first two titles. N3TWORK builds first‑party mobile games and developer tools while operating a media and community network. Its current portfolio includes Legendary: Game of Heroes, an upcoming Tetris title, and several unannounced games in development. The company offers the SCALE PLATFORM, a developer solution that provides user acquisition technology, expertise and capital and is already serving live games and integrating partners. N3TWORK is also developing THE N3TWORK, a media and community app that was in testing and planned for full deployment in 2020 to players and developer partners. The company intends to accelerate investment across its games portfolio, live publishing platform, and media and audience network. It recently closed a $40 million Series C to fund that expansion and growth initiatives. N3twork is building a consumer-facing mobile app that aims to re-imagine the presentation layer of the Internet by creating a new index of the web organized around user interests. The team says the product will be distinct from apps like Flipboard by indexing content around interests rather than aggregating feeds. Founders include Ngmoco co-founders Neil Young, Bob Stevenson and Alan Yu, with Erik Lammerding joining from Apple; the company has a roughly 12-person team with two hires expected soon. The company has raised $12 million to pursue this vision. Management expects to launch the app later in the year and is considering advertising as part of a broader revenue strategy. The team is leveraging experience from game design and user motivation to inform the consumer experience and content discovery approach.
