Founded in Bengaluru in 2022, Namma Yatri operates a community-led, zero-commission mobility platform that eliminates intermediaries by letting riders book auto-rickshaws and cabs directly from drivers. The service, which is fully open-source and part of India’s ONDC Network, currently runs in cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR and Chennai under a family of apps that includes Yatri Sathi, Yatri and Mana Yatri. By making its code and operating metrics public, the company positions itself as a transparent alternative to incumbent aggregators. Namma Yatri generates revenue from ancillary services rather than driver commissions, recording Rs 19.8 crore in operating revenue but a Rs 51.25 crore loss in the fiscal year ended March 2025. The platform’s zero-commission model aims to attract more drivers and offer riders lower, more predictable fares. Backers such as Google, Blume Ventures and Antler support its vision of open mobility at national scale.
