Overview

NanoVation develops SenseGuard, a wearable wireless respiratory monitor that uses a proprietary nanosensor to deliver high-accuracy, clinically useful information about lung health from normal breathing. SenseGuard is CE marked and has undergone clinical trials, and is designed for spot-checks or continuous remote monitoring to manage respiratory conditions and chronic diseases. The device requires no stressful breathing maneuvers or clinician supervision, enabling at-home self-measurement to reduce hospital admissions and shorten hospital length of stay by supporting earlier discharge. The company plans to accelerate product development and launch initial marketing efforts in the EU using the new funding. Financially, NanoVation received a €5m equity investment from the European Innovation Council Fund and previously secured a €2.5m EIC Accelerator grant; it has completed two rounds of financing and received support from the Israel Innovation Authority. Founded in 2014 as a Technion spinoff and led by CEO Dr. Gregory Shuster, the company says it may consider increasing the latest funding round to ensure market penetration and growth.
