Nasseo develops dental and orthopedic implants using proprietary surface modification technology. Its Nasseo TiArray™ dental implant system has been developed specifically for diabetics and smokers with poor bone healing. The company is co-founded by Dr. Garrett Cale Smith (CEO) and the company’s COO. Nasseo closed a $520K seed financing round to support early development. Backers included BioInspire, a medical technology incubator, and an unnamed internationally known dentist. The company added Brian Jaffe to its Board of Advisors and plans to raise a $3M+ Series A in mid‑2013 to catalyze production and sales.
