National Cycling League (NCL) is developing a technology platform that delivers interactive, real-time access to professional athletes' biometric and performance data for consumer applications. The company is building a new professional cycling league format where men and women compete on the same team and course with equal weighting of performances. NCL plans to launch in 2023 with 10 teams competing across criterium-style races in Miami Beach, Atlanta, Denver and Washington D.C. The league will offer a record-setting $1 million prize purse across the series. Led by CEO Paris Wallace and based in Miami, the organization is positioning its product at the intersection of sport and consumer-facing telemetry. NCL intends to use its recently raised seed funds to support development of the technology platform.
