Natura Life + Science is a contract manufacturing company constructing a 265,000 sq ft LEED-certified, vertically integrated cannabis campus in Sacramento, California. The campus will provide end-to-end services—cultivation, manufacturing and extraction, wholesale packaging and distribution, a delivery-only dispensary, and branding and marketing—to serve growing cannabis brands and entrepreneurs. Founder and CEO Ori Bytton said the platform centers on the needs of growing brands and aims to produce high-quality, consistent products to build consumer trust. Natura completed a $91 million private financing to fund construction and build-out, and expects to begin manufacturing, distribution and delivery in Q3 2019, with cultivation starting in early 2020. The first facility is designed to produce up to 80,000 pounds of premium dried flower and process 750,000 pounds of dry material annually. The company has conditional use permits for cultivation, manufacturing, distribution and a delivery-only dispensary and has applied for 19 corresponding licenses. Sustainability features include greenhouse gas–reducing cultivation processes, water-efficient irrigation, and cooling, collection, treatment and reuse of runoff water.
