New England Linen Supply Company rents and sells employee uniforms, table linen, napkins and other textile products to institutional foodservice facilities and higher-end restaurants. The company is headquartered and operates from New Haven and also serves customers via an affiliated operation in New Jersey, covering markets from the Boston metro area to greater Philadelphia. Advantage Capital Partners, in partnership with Ironwood Capital, provided up to $7.1 million in financing to support operations and potential growth in Connecticut. The financing is intended to preserve 72 jobs at the company’s New Haven operating facility and position the business for expansion within the state. The investment was made through Advantage Capital Connecticut Partners I, a fund created in connection with the Connecticut jobs statute. The funding was enabled in part by the Insurance Reinvestment Fund Program administered by the Department of Economic and Community Development. Advantage Capital Partners is a venture capital and small business finance firm with a track record of state-focused investment; Ironwood Capital is an Avon-based investment manager with over $400 million of capital under management.
