Nema Health delivers evidence-based, virtual PTSD treatment using a Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) model that is physician- and survivor-led. Its peer-led approach pairs trauma survivors with patients from first interaction through recovery to provide rapid relief and long-term healing. After completing 4–6 weeks of Nema’s intensive program, 91% of patients experience clinical improvement and 82% no longer meet criteria for PTSD. Since its 2023 launch the company has rolled out services in eight states (New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, California, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Illinois) and is in-network with multiple national and regional health plans. Nema plans to expand to additional states and broaden insurance coverage to improve affordability. The company recently closed a Series A to support geographic expansion and deepening of its care offerings. Nema Health operates a virtual platform that delivers evidence-based care for trauma survivors and provides wraparound support through a care team that can include a therapist, peer mentor, case manager, and a psychiatrist when indicated. The company offers access to trauma care via its virtual treatment program and recently launched its care program in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut with a national insurance partner. Nema is currently accepting new patients in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The company raised $4.1M in a Seed funding round to support its growth. Nema intends to use the funds to expand nationwide and to form partnerships with other commercial insurance plans as well as Medicaid and Medicare.
