NEMIS Technologies develops diagnostic kits and solutions for rapid microbiological pathogen detection built on its AquaSpark chemiluminescence platform. AquaSpark enables highly sensitive chemiluminescence probes that make pathogenic bacteria visible with light signals much faster than current standard methods. The company targets applications in food safety, hospital and clinical settings, and water treatment. NEMIS has achieved a functional proof-of-concept for faster, cheaper detection of threatening foodborne pathogens. Management has stated plans to advance the technology to prototypes and towards industrialization with support from new investors. NEMIS was established as a joint venture by Biosynth AG and Ramot (the Tel Aviv University Business Engagement Center).
