Overview

Neodocs develops low-cost, smartphone‑based diagnostic test kits, initially launching urine-based Kidney Care and UTI Care Kits that require no lab equipment. The UTI Care Kit tracks 10 parameters to help screen for urinary tract infections, while the Kidney Care Kit measures urine albumin creatinine ratio (UACR) plus 14 other parameters. The company says it has sold over 200,000 test cards and that more than 4,000 doctors in India are using its products. Neodocs is working on “instant” finger-prick blood tests that let users receive results on their phones by snapping a picture. The team is partnering with pharmaceutical companies (Cipla, Eris, Sun Pharma, AstraZeneca, Bayer, RPG Life Sciences) and state governments in Maharashtra (Nashik) and Rajasthan (Ladnu) to digitalize testing in remote areas. The startup plans to use the new funding to expand its presence in global markets including Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and the Americas. NeoDocs Technologies is a Mumbai-based health-technology startup founded earlier this year by Nikunj Malpani, Anurag Meena and Pratik Lodha, all alumni of IIT-Bombay. Its AI-based platform interprets and simplifies medical reports to provide personalised health recommendations. The company operates via a lab-agnostic model and generates reports in English and Hindi, with plans to expand into other Indian languages. NeoDocs says it will use the capital to build a cross-functional team, strengthen its product and conduct validation studies. The startup raised a pre-seed round led by 9Unicorns, though the amount was not disclosed. 9Unicorns has recently hit a first close at Rs 100 crore and outlined an initial investment plan of up to $100,000 for a 5–7% stake, with potential follow-ons via a Venture Catalysts syndicate.
