Neokami is a Munich-based AI startup that helps companies adopt AI via developer APIs, on-site integration, customer engineering and packaged AI products. Its product suite includes social media monitoring (a real-time emotional heat map using the Twitter API and sentiment analysis), image analysis (age/gender recognition), CRM tools and cybersecurity-focused cloud data sensitivity management. The company is developing a food-recognition feature to identify foods and estimate calories, and plans to add search to its API in the future. Neokami emphasizes practical, packaged solutions rather than a horizontal AI platform. It recently graduated from Wayra Germany, the accelerator run by Telefonica, and is led by CEO and co-founder Ozel Christo. Financially, Neokami closed a $1.1M seed round from angel investors Josef Brunner and Tom Noonan.
