Overview
NeoTX Therapeutics leverages its proprietary Selective T cell Redirection (STR) platform to develop targeted anticancer immunotherapies. Its lead STR molecule, naptumomab estafenatox (Nap), is in an open-label, multicenter, dose-finding Phase 1b study (NCT03983954) combining Nap with AstraZeneca’s durvalumab and is currently enrolling. The company plans to use Series C proceeds to complete the dose-escalation phase of the Nap trial, advance the STR platform for advanced and metastatic solid tumors, and in‑license new technologies. STR binds a genetically engineered bacterial determinant to the tumor surface while activating immune cells away from the suppressive tumor microenvironment to mount an antibacterial anti-tumor response. NeoTX closed a $45 million Series C and has raised over $60 million to date. The financing coincided with additions to the board, including J. Tomilson Hill, Andrew Kim, Paul T. Marinelli, Nobel laureate Dr. Roger Kornberg and the company’s chief scientific officer; the company is based in Rehovot, Israel.
