Overview

Netradyne builds AI-enabled dashcams and fleet safety software that capture multi-view video and vehicle data to reduce accidents and improve driver behavior. Its hardware includes quad-view and dual-view cameras, a Hub-X add-on for additional cameras, and a driver-monitoring sensor with nighttime detection. The company operates edge computing that delivers real-time driver alerts and offers Safety Manager Assistant, an AI-powered co-pilot with a natural-language interface and generative-AI features. Netradyne says it has accumulated over 18 billion miles of data, achieved roughly 99% alert accuracy, and delivered 25 million better compliance scores. Customers include large fleets such as Amazon and operators in retail, food and beverage, oil and gas, utilities, construction, and more. The company has expanded beyond North America and India into Germany, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand and plans near-term expansion into Ireland and Japan. Netradyne reported 65% growth over the past 12 months and expects to be net profitable within the next year. Netradyne develops AI- and edge-computing-based fleet safety solutions, with its Driver•i advanced AI technology as a core product. In five years Driver•i analyzed more than 5 billion driving miles and over 20 billion minutes, achieving reported AI accuracy of 98% in core features. The company says it collects and analyzes more data points than any other fleet safety organization to improve driver behavior, retention, and fleet performance. Netradyne recently surpassed 500 employees and announced several senior hires across product, finance, customer success, and regional leadership. It operates in the U.S., India, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand and plans expansion into Mexico and France, Germany, Italy, and Spain by early 2023. The company has received industry recognition including induction into Forbes AI Top 50 Companies to Watch for 2022 and a Gold Stevie Award for Transportation Product of the Year. Netradyne builds Driveri, a vision-based edge-computing system that uses onboard cameras to monitor drivers and the road and provide real-time feedback. Its hardware comes in two form factors: the D-210 dual-facing dashcam and the D-410 four‑camera 360° system for heavy vehicles. The edge device performs real-time computations and can notify drivers or gamify safe behavior with DriverStars. Netradyne collects about 700 million miles of driving data per month and says subscribers and annual recurring revenue tripled in 2020; it has more than 1,000 customers. The company has a partnership to install its tech in Amazon delivery vehicles and an agreement with National Interstate Insurance to subsidize adoption. CEO Avneesh Agrawal said autonomous driving is a possible future area but not the current focus, and the company aims to reach $100 million in revenue by year-end. Netradyne is a San Diego-based developer of artificial intelligence software used to monitor and manage fleet safety. The company’s core product applies AI to fleet safety management and related driver monitoring. Hyundai CRADLE invested in Netradyne as part of a partnership, though the size of the investment was not disclosed. The partnership includes support for further development of Level 3+ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (L3+ ADAS) and Autonomous Driving features that Hyundai may introduce over the next few years. Netradyne has previously raised funding from M12 (Microsoft’s fund), Reliance Industries, and Point72 Ventures. The company is led by founder and CEO Avneesh Agrawal. Netradyne develops an AI, machine learning and edge-computing platform focused on driver and fleet safety. Led by Founder and CEO Avneesh Agrawal, the company’s core product is Driveri™, a vision-based driver recognition and fleet safety platform that captures and analyzes every minute of driving to provide fleet managers with insights and individual coaching opportunities. The company plans to scale operations and invest in applying AI and deep learning to new industry segments. Examples of planned areas of investment include dynamic 3D/HD mapping for real-time crowdsourced HD maps, data analytics for driving conditions and risk areas, and insurance products to help underwrite professional drivers. In September 2018 Netradyne raised $21M in a Series B to fund these efforts.
