NetSpeed Systems provides on-chip interconnect IP for SoC designers, using advanced machine learning to streamline SoC architecture and design. Its portfolio addresses a wide range of markets from mobile to high-performance computing and networking. The company has launched Crux, which targets cloud, hyper-scale and enterprise networking and storage segments. Customers include leaders in data centers, enterprise networking, mobile, automotive and digital home. NetSpeed was founded in 2011 by Sundari Mitra, who serves as CEO, and is based in San Jose, CA. In October 2016 it closed a $10m Series C round led by Intel Capital with participation from SK Hynix and Walden-Riverwood Ventures. NetSpeed Systems, based in San Jose, California, provides a system-on-chip (SoC) design platform and advanced on-chip network IP cores to SoC designers. Led by co-founder and CEO Sundari Mitra, the company offers IP cores such as Orion, a high-performance on-chip network solution, and Gemini, a coherent on-chip network IP supporting cache-coherent, I/O-coherent, and non-coherent traffic. Its IP cores are configured and optimized using NocStudio, an architecture exploration platform and design compiler. The company aims to make designing and developing SoCs simpler and less expensive. NetSpeed completed a Series B financing round of undisclosed amount. The company says it will use the funds to expand and support its community and user base worldwide and to further invest in product development.
