Netwealth is an online discretionary wealth manager that launched in May 2016. The firm raised £10.02m of new capital in a second funding round, bringing total funds raised to £16.6m to date. Prior to launch it secured £6.57m from 28 angel investors, and 13 new investors joined in the latest round. New investors named in the article include Dame Alison Carnwath, Julian Mash, David Peacock, John Weiss and Sir Alan Parker. CEO and co‑founder Charlotte Ransom said the company has grown over the past 18 months and targets cash‑rich, time‑poor professionals who are often under‑invested or unhappy with traditional providers. With the new capital Netwealth plans to continue investing in and growing the business, accelerating its growth trajectory and expanding its client base with supportive, involved shareholders.
