Neumentum is developing and plans to commercialize products to treat pain while avoiding the abuse, misuse and diversion risks of opioid analgesics. Its lead candidate, NTM-001, is an alcohol-free formulation of the NSAID ketorolac in a pre-mixed bag designed for 24-hour continuous infusion after surgery. NTM-001 is being evaluated to manage moderately severe acute pain that typically requires opioid-level analgesia and could reduce the need for opioid pain relievers. The company intends to use newly raised capital to accelerate and complete a Phase I pharmacokinetic study and to prepare for and initiate Phase III clinical trials. The Phase I study will compare NTM-001 continuous infusion with ketorolac IV injection every 6 hours across four cohorts, enrolling 64 subjects at two sites.
