Neurode produces a wearable headband that uses light electrical stimulation over the prefrontal cortex to treat ADHD symptoms and light-based sensing to monitor changes in brain activity. The device is designed for daily 20-minute use and is currently available through a private beta. Co-founder Nathalie Gouailhardou is a neuroscientist who was diagnosed with ADHD and developed the idea while working with fNIRS brain-imaging equipment; she co-founded the company with Damian Sofrevski. The company was founded in 2021 and filed patents for its device that year. Neurode has raised $3.5 million in pre-seed funding to support clinical trials and early development. Management says the goal is to pursue FDA approval for the device, though no timeline has been provided.
