NeuVector provides a container-delivered platform that delivers continuous network security for cloud-native container environments. Its container firewall is itself a container that can be added to existing container deployments and leverages behavioral learning to automatically recognize and whitelist normal behavior. The product applies zero-configuration security policies, offers application-layer segmentation to isolate container traffic, and proactively detects and blocks suspicious connections. It includes runtime vulnerability scanning across running containers and hosts and threat detection designed to mitigate attempted DDoS, DNS, and other attacks. The company, led by CEO Fei Huang and launched in January 2017, plans to use new funding to expand its sales and engineering teams supporting the cloud-native container firewall. NeuVector positions its solution to protect application containers throughout build, ship, and runtime phases of DevOps.
