Neuway Pharma focuses on the preclinical and clinical development of therapeutics for orphan brain diseases using a proprietary central nervous system (CNS) drug delivery platform. The company is developing its own therapeutics and intends to partner its drug delivery technology for other CNS indications. Neuway was founded in April 2014 as the first spin-off from Life Science Inkubator and was incubated within LSI for four years. It is based in Bonn, Germany, and has shareholders including Dr. Heiko Manninga, Dr. Lucio van Rooijen and Dr. Stephan Rapp. The project received approximately €2.3m in research funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research during incubation. The company is advancing through preclinical and clinical programs while seeking external financing to support its development.
